My Learning Loft also conducts on-going enrichment topics such as:

Letterland is a unique, phonics-based approach to teaching reading, writing and spelling to 3-8 year olds. The Letterland characters transform plain black letter shapes into child-friendly pictograms and they all live in an imaginary place called Letterland.

Simple stories about the Letterland characters, explain the full range of dry phonics facts so that children are motivated to listen, to think and to learn. These stories explain letter sounds & shapes, allowing children to progress quickly to word building, reading and writing.

Little Learners Series

For K1 and K2 levels, the Little Learners Series focuses on experiential learning processes. In the spirit of “Do, Feel, Think”, fundamental concepts in English, Mathematics and Science are introduced to your child via the use of games, investigations, simulations and experiments. Through this mode of hands-on learning, the course provides your child the groundwork in subsequently absorbing more advanced concepts at the Primary level.

Speech & Drama

Through the usage of music and movement, poetry, drama and rhymes, the course seeks to stimulate your child’s imagination, to encourage the sharing and communication of ideas in a group, as well as to think critically. It also aims to develop your child’s confidence in speaking, with the recital of rhymes, poetry and dramatic role-play activities.

Creative Writing 1, 2, 3!

This course seeks to develop your child’s abilities and skills in writing. The main focus is in the development of your child’s confidence when writing about specific scenario-based topics, encouraging them in expressing their innermost thoughts and feelings. The course will also aim to enhance creativity as well as independent thought processes.

Areas that will be covered include vocabulary building, paragraphing and organisation skills, as well as grammar and comprehension skills.
